Hello, I'm Kevin and I'm looking for a room to rent for a month.
Here's my thing. I'm retired from Kansas City Fire Dept and most of the year I live on my sailboat in Annapolis, Maryland.
I keep an apt. in Kansas City because that's my family base.
I'm in KC right now and driving to Cobble Hill next week.
I own a "new" old wooden sailboat. She's on the hard in my friend's back yard in Cobble Hill, half a block north of the Cobblestone Inn.
Every year I come out for a month or two, hang out in my favorite area and do a little more work on her, she's getting close now.
Usually I stay in my friends guest cottage next to my boat but not this year. I'm late, had to move my mom and the cottage is occupied now.
Sooo I'm going to be on the Island for 2-4 weeks and I'm looking for a safe, clean place to stay that's close to my boat.
I won't have much with me, my duffle bag, couple books, air mattress and sleeping bag,
I'll be eating out daily at the Bay Pub or Cobblestone and would only be around in the evening after boat work and for morning COFFEE before boat work.
I'm pretty quiet, empathetic, very easy going, well traveled and very respectful of others and their space.
I keep my space neat and clean up after myself, sometimes for others if needed.
I don't mind doing dishes but cooking is more fun. Always an experiment !
I can get along with pretty much anyone except crazy religious people or Trump supporters.
If it was warm, I'd just camp out.
But it's chilly and it's wet and I'm not 20 anymore so...
I drive a little toyota wagon, the "Mouse".
I run or ride daily unless it's RAINING.
If you think this may work for you that would be great.
I'm hoping to crew on a boat south for the winter.
